Chris Christie is out of the main GOP debate. He got robbed. (Washington Post  Max Ehrenfreund  Reporter 11/5/15)
Excerpts from that article which the Ledger ignored although it often prints in its OP-ED page Post’s editorials or Columnists. This of course would be contrary to the Ledger’s vendetta. “Fox granted candidates a podium in the prime-time debate next week only if their support in four recent national polls exceeded 2.5 percent on average. In two of the polls, Christie's support was above that level at 3 percent. Yet in one poll conducted by Fox, his support stood at 2 percent. And in another poll by Investor's Business Daily and the research group TIPP, his figure was only 1 percent, putting his average just below Fox's threshold.

These figures aren't precise, however. Simply due to chance, sometimes the sample of respondents who participate in a poll don't reflect the views of the population as a whole. Statisticians typically give the results of polls in ranges, called margins of error, to convey this random variation.

Statistically speaking, the margin of error in the Fox poll was 3 percentage points, suggesting that Christie's support could have been as high as 5 percent. In the Investor's Business Daily poll, the margin was 5 points, implying a figure as high as 6 percent for Christie.”

Perhaps Christie’s new slogan should be “I will overcome” even though that is not likely.

How can anyone with normal intelligence consider either Trump or Carson as being our President?

Trump at least has proven that he is a very successful entrepreneur as well as an accomplished con artist. True, he has amassed a fortune without any personal financial losses. Of course we can overlook that at least 4 business in which he had a primary interest have gone bankrupt the effects of which he has been protected because they were LLPs or a separated corporation. In fact he sold his interests in some before their financial troubles became obvious.

Trump is the P.T.Barnum of the political world. There has been no substance in his proposed remedies to the ills that face this nation; just “I will”.

Carson something of another hue. A quiet soft spoken African-American who has been a top level Neurosurgeon he has risen in the polls to be Trumps only serious challenger this early in the game. Unfortunately he has demonstrated an amount of ignorance about world and domestic affairs that is frightening.

He has also made statements that have been proven to be false such as being offered a scholarship to West Point. While him and the academic qualifications to be eligible for admission he never was offered or applied. In addition there are no scholarships in the armed forces schools; we the taxpayers foot the bill for all.

And then there is this statement "My own personal theory is that Joseph built the pyramids to store grain. Now all the archaeologists think that they were made for the pharaohs’ graves. But, you know, it would have to be something awfully big if you stop and think about it. And I don’t think it’d just disappear over the course of time to store that much grain’

Carson defended this by remaking “some people believe in the Bible, like I do, and don’t find that to be silly at all and believe that God created the Earth and don’t find that to be silly at all."

Yes he denies the facts of evolution.

There are also unsubstantiated stories of how he shielded white students from an angry black school mob after the King assassination.

I could go on and on but space is too short. Here is a reference

It is these two leading Republicans that bode ill for the nation if either would get their party’s nomination.

More on Candidates for both parties in the near future.
