MONDAY MORNING & POLITICS

The Pope has gone home after a strenuous week in the US. Now it is Putin’s time, both he and Obama will address the UN. If time permits I will watch on TV.

The latest polls out Sunday find Carson in a tie with Trump; neither will be a factor at the finish line

Rubio and Carly Fiorina are in a virtual tie for third, only Rubio will remain a bonafide candidate. Look for our Gov. Christie to make a gradual rise up to nomination time. I doubt that he will get it, but may settle for #2; the VP.

It is possible that Jeb Bush will make a comeback and fight it out with Rubio; but 11 months to Convention is a heck of a long time.

As for the Democrats Hillary is truly in a precarious position. Although spouse Bill Sunday said that the e-mail flack was much to do about nothing it will snowball with the latest information that she never released correspondence with Petraeus when he was in command.

The law notes that there are five elements that must be met for a violation of the statute, and they can all be found in section (a) of the statute: “(1) Whoever, being an officer, employee, contractor, or consultant of the United States, and, (2) by virtue of his office, employment, position, or contract, becomes possessed of documents or materials containing classified information of the United States, (3) knowingly removes such documents or materials (4) without authority and (5) with the intent to retain such documents or materials at an unauthorized location [shall be guilty of this offense].”

I cannot conceive that the SECRETARY OF STATE was unaware that emails to her are not marked classified, that is a label for those who do not routinely receive such communications. Nor is there any evidence that any of the three private servers she used were approved by the State Department as secured. To say that none were marked classified is a copout.

And Christie is getting flack for appointing buddies. Who initiate Bridgegate to the Port Authority?

On Sunday Biden is supposed to have had a private audience with the Pope at the airport. Perhaps Biden was given the moral support needed to enter the race. He has to do so before the first Democrat Debate in October.

Since I will be having family here Monday night up to Thursday morning I most likely will not have time for my computer.
