Yesterday I posted some pictures I had taken in Germany at the end of the fighting there. One was a view of the shelled Kaiser Whilhelm Kirche , this is how it looked as a memorial about 10 years ago.Almost all of the destroyed museums have been rebuilt and their treasures which had been hidden and kept from the Russians restored. One particularly beautiful museum.The Peragmon, in what was East Berlin, houses the reconstructed Pergamon Altar (below) but also
beautiful Isthar Gate from the ruins of Babylon. There are other major exhibits in this
museum including an extensive display of Assyrian artifacts from Niniveh.
