Cinco de Mayo (May 5th) a national holiday in Mexico and celebrated by Mexicans in the US.
It commemorates the 1862 Battle of Puebla where a Mexican Army of 4000 defeated a well trained French Army of about twice its size.
Today in Plainfield we will have our own Cinco de Mayo, but without any Latino input. Instead the forces negativism led by Boss Jerry Green will most likely succeed in their plans to obstruct positive improvements in this city.
