HOLOCAUST DAY

This Monday is HOLOCAUST  DAY a reflection on the 1930s-40s genocide in which the German Hitler Nazis killed millions of Europeans, mostl;y Jews, but alao Gypsies, Poles. the  Infirmed and other elders who were a drain on the economy.

You may be too young to have experienced those years  but
I lived through that period, and also  served with an  US Armyv Airborn Glider Infantry Batallion combat in Europe 1944-45. I KNOW IT  IS TRUE.

Don't let the DENIERS succeed. They are motivated by hate and bigotgry. Something similar could happen here in the future if we ignore or change history.

MY OPINIONS

Monday’s news of Booker’ withdrawal from the Democratic Presidential nomination Race was moat disturbing.

It has been my opinion that he was with best qualifications, the only Democrat that could have a chance of winning the General election. The present leaders are either too old or too far to the left Also I do not believe that the UISA is yet ready for a female or an out of the closet gay President.

Some have accused me of favoring Trump because I wrote that I agreed with his statement that the Obama Iran treat was bad and never should have   been made.

That had been my opinion at the time based on history and facts that Autocrats/Dictators have agendas that in order to be successful may require making treaties or agreements that they intend to secretly ignore.

In the 2016 election both the major parties offered us unacceptable nominees. I never expected that Trump would be one. I had labelled Trump as a con-man from the day he announced his candidacy with a history of throwing those working for him under the bus.

On the other hand, Hillary was equally unacceptable. Not because she was a
Woman but her history of moral corruption and ignoring the law from in Arkansas through her days as Secretary of State.

Therefore, faced with such choices I could not vote in good conscience for either. I knew that in this overwhelming Democratic state what NJ’s electoral votes would be. Since I felt my vote would not affect the outcome, I choose to fulfill my right and duty as an American citizen to cynically casted my vote for an unelectable third-party candidate.

JANUARY 2020

Six weeks to #100. As a cognitive mobile person, I am annoyed by many things such as the way Plainfield drivers obey or know the law.  Among their faults are (1) waiting for the light to change to green before signaling a turn and then (or) making a right turn from the inner of two lanes and ditto for the left turn.

However, all was Ok until I read the Mayor’s latest letter.
“On July 14, 2015, the Obama administration brokered a deal with Iran, enlisting the support of the other permanent members of the United Nations Security Council along with Germany. The agreement was the culmination of 20 months of negotiation stemming from the adoption of the Joint Plan of Action, in November 2013. Under JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action), Iran agreed to eliminate its stockpile of medium-enriched uranium, cut its stockpile of low-enriched uranium by 98%, and reduce by about two-thirds the number of its gas centrifuges for 13 years.

Sadly, on October 13, 2017, President Trump, hell bent on erasing any and everything former President Barack Obama had been able to achieve domestically and on the international “stage, announced that the United States would not make the certification provided for under U.S. domestic law but stopped short of terminating the deal. Then on May 8, 2018, President Trump announced the United States withdrawal from JCPOA.

I Must reluctantly admit that for once UI agree with POTUS, that Obama’s deal with the Iranians was BAD. How can anyone believe that the Iranians or the North Koreans even the Russians will deal in good faith? Autocratic leaders (i.e.: dictators) by any name even would be ones like Trump have only one agenda; increase their power by any means.
How can our Mayor or anyone except possibility through ignorance believe that Obama’s deal was a good one?

A Happy New Year to All
AND A
HEALTHY  2020.
The Oh Hellers and dog have returned to their home and finally peace and quiet have come to this residence.
Less than 2 months until my #100s. Despite multiple infirmities especially with the bladder I am still mobile although need to use a walker for balance since I don’t want to risk a fall.
I am still trying to conceive how 2020 can be a positive year for Plainfield residents. How can a Wah-wahs be an improvement over Giovanna? Or apartments replacing Muhlenberg? It will be at least another decade before the direct trip to New York can be a reality to justify new apartments and dependent business in the redevelopment areas.
