It is too late to write any detail about the Council's Agenda Setting Session.

Suffice to say, the budget farce although in this instance related to the School System was front and center.

Briefly, the New Jersey Commissioner explained to the Council why it made little difference what action it took on the defeated School budget. She repeatedly stated that she would be bound by law to approve the budget that was submitted and had to abide by the 30 day grace period. She repeatedly emphasized that Gov. Corzine's plan was to " level the playing field by an yearly increase of required programs and operational budget for nearly 8% while the more affluent districts would lose their cap down to 4% annually. He acts as if he were a Goldman- Sachs Republicrat.
