I consider College Basketball, not pro basketball which can be boring and only of interest in the last 5 minutes,to be the best of all sports to watch on TV. All other sports do not exhibit the skill and action when two teams of comparative equal ability compete.
The pinnacle of the College season is the final four of the NCAA tournament. The four teams playing are probably the best half dozen in the country. How can 4 be the best 6? Any team can have one bad game out of 30 in a season. We all have a favorite that fell during this tournament, but the 4 that were left were truly among the elite. And Saturday night's two games were among the best all season. It is true that during a great deal off the game Villanova did not look like it belonged on the same court as North Carolina.
However it was a great Basketball evening and the match up Monday night should be outstanding. Too bad one of the two Council meetings is that night, however the second half should still be on by the end of that meeting.
The reason for this discourse, is that the late hour the games ended left me with no time to write anything substantive for today's blog. Perhaps after I read the Sunday papers, I will find material for a posting today.
