April 6,2009 Council meeting.
The Council meeting lasted until near 11:20 pm . Too late to write about it, so don't expect any comments before noon at the earliest. Perhaps Bernice will have insomnia and post a preliminary report. There was material for several days writing. Check back this afternoon.

Now that Maria is no longer a private citizen, but is running on the Adrian Mapp ticket as a committee person, she is finally showing her true colors. Here is a person who has been beating up on the mayor for four years, as well as Eric Watson, and for the last 6 months, along with Bernice, Doc, and Adrian. I was surprised to see so many New Democrats, or rather, people who have a new life of sitting on the sidelines not wanting to get involved, with this election. It’s clear that they realize Adrian is no Al McWilliams, nowhere CLOSE!!!
ReplyDeleteIt’s also clear to me that Chris Estevez, a member of the School Board, is only concerned with the Superintendent not cutting his wife’s six-figured salary job over at the Board of Education, as well as in making sure Maria’s son gets special treatment as a student in the Plainfield public schools. It’s also clear that Adrian and Maria’s campaign is going to being rifle-fed with lies.
I was shocked to see that Adrian doesn’t even have a candidate for the 4th Ward seat on his ticket. This is total disrespect to the people in the 4th ward, and it goes to show you that he feels no one in the 4th ward is intelligent enough to be on his slate. It also shows the lack of his connection to the Plainfield community as a whole. Both he and Maria will definitely be ignoring the 4th ward.
I’m happy to see that the people in the 2nd Ward are seeing that Annie McWilliams is the future of the City of Plainfield, and NOT Adrian Mapp. My hat’s off to the McWilliams family for not allowing Adrian to use Annie like he did Al. It’s becoming a joke in town that Adrian is trying to blame everyone except his political friends for the closure of Muhlenberg. But we are not dumb, the public is not buying into those lies, Solaris openly admitted to its responsibility and activity in initiating the closure of Muhlenberg. Give it up Mapp, or else this is going to be a long, longg campaign race that will leave you broken due to your own works.
11:14 AM, Somehow the phraseology of your comments remind me of JG's earlier postings. Were you his ghost writer?
ReplyDeleteI take umbrage at being accused of beating up on the Mayor (and Eric Watson)for four years. Where is the basis for your accusation? I have only been blogging for about a year. It is true that I have publicly, not hiding behind a cloak of anonymity, expressed my feelings that all of our local based political leadership let the community down by not being aggressive in trying to retain Muhlenberg as a functioning community hospital. The record speaks for itself.
Don't excoriate me as a New Democrat/Republican because I find fault with our incumbent state legislators.I am openly expressing my right under the First Amendment of our Constitution. I switch parties so that I can now have a choice of 1 out of 7 instead of 0 out sometimes 2 candidates for mayor. Unlike your apparent fixed party machine oriented position,I, as should every voter, still have 2 months to come to I hope an intelligent decision.
It would be a pleasure if you and all who write anonymous would us a pen name or initials to distinguish your self from the mob.
sorry, i meant 'for the last 6 months' is where you have jumped on the bashing bandwagon, in moderation and subtlety Doc, you are a witty ol' chap and i give you much credit and respect.
ReplyDeletethe only reason why i lump you together with that gangly bunch is because of your writings that have political undertones in them. i call a spade a spade when i see one, and as of late, actually for the past year for the most part, ive seen you agree with them, new dems/repubs, as well as oppose them..
however the defining factor has been your reluctance to even give JG a left-handed shake. this being a poignant trait of the New Dems/Republicans.
no i do not nor have i ever 'ghost written' for JG. i'll tell you this though, if he has one, that fella/lady is doing a helluva job pushing buttons
