THIS AND THAT POTPOURRI

A very quiet Fourth marred by rain at the time of the fireworks. Hillary testified before the FBI and Donald in attacking Hillary as a crook restrained himself to tweets and then spent time explaining blaming others.

“(CNN) Donald Trump set off his latest firestorm this weekend when he tweeted a graphic critical of Hillary Clinton that featured a six-pointed star, a pile of cash and the words "most corrupt candidate ever."

Critics erupted with complaints that the graphic evoked anti-Semitic imagery and the Trump campaign refused to answer questions about the tweet even as reports emerged that the image had been posted to an anti-Semitic, white supremacist message board 10 days earlier.

Trump downplayed the controversy Monday by slamming the "dishonest media." He said that the six pointed star was one used in sheriff’s badges

And although he had earlier accepted Duke’s support and other racist rightists insisted that he was not prejudiced. Judge for yourself.

ISIS was quiet here but not worldwide. Besides the killings in Bangladesh there was a truck bombing in Bangkok with massive casualties and a series of

More than 160 people are now known to have died in Sunday's appalling attack in Baghdad. It is just one of eight different attacks believed to have been carried out by the so-called Islamic State (IS) over the last month - the Muslim month of Ramadan. In total, more than 300 people have died in such atrocities from Orlando to Dhaka to Istanbul.

The last attacks were a series of suicide bombings in three cities of Saudi Arabia including Medina the most holy Muslim city.

In the UK the Conservative party is beginning a process to select a new leader with a series of voting by the members of the House of Commons to reduce the list from 5 to 2. The lowest candidate each ballot will be dropped and the final two will be voted on by the entire party membership.

At this point it seems that he choice will be between two women; Theresa May the present Home Secretary who was Luke warm in her opposition to BREXIT and the Energy Minister Andrea Leadsom who was a strong advocate and has won Boris Johnson's backing.

Once again a women will lead a European country. It could happen here although I would have preferred a better choice.

  1. Remember Vince Foster? UN Official, John Ashe, set to testify against Hillary accidentally crushes own throat day before testimony!

    1. Blackdog - do you make this stuff up or just search ridiculous websites until you find this nonsense? Ashe wasn't testifying about anything around the time of his death. He had pre-trial meetings regarding a corruption case against him. Also, he wasn't testifying at any time against Hillary - its all made up. Its like April fools day every day with you I bet.

    1. Trump by using his own properties and paying for their use has made mmone3y out of his campaign. He will be the first politician to make money running for President. He is not spending his money but just transferring it from one account to another,

    2. The FBI director ACTUALLY SAID that others who've done the same thing may face consequences, but not Hillary. HE ACTUALLY SAID THAT.
At least Trump isn't using donations from foreign governments to finance his campaign! And he isn't breaking any laws. He is showing how savy he is with finances!

    3. Blackdog, I think I need a dedicated anti-Hillary/pro Trump blog for you to write a guest essay. That may come.
However I cannot find the FBI Director’s comments that you refer to, instead this is from his published remarks: “In looking back at our investigations into mishandling or removal of classified information, we cannot find a case that would support bringing criminal charges on these facts. All the cases prosecuted involved some combination of: clearly intentional and willful mishandling of classified information; or vast quantities of materials exposed in such a way as to support an inference of intentional misconduct; or indications of disloyalty to the United States; or efforts to obstruct justice. We do not see those things here.
To be clear, this is not to suggest that in similar circumstances, a person who engaged in this activity would face no consequences. To the contrary, those individuals are often subject to security or administrative sanctions. But that is not what we are deciding now.”
As to the Donald’s finances he may or may not be using contributions through PACs or Foundations to finance his campaign if you can trust his claim. This is the man who stated that he had recently given 10 mil to charity but on investigation

In May, under pressure from the news media, Donald Trump made good on a pledge he made four months earlier: He gave $1 million to a nonprofit group helping veterans’ families
In the 15 years prior to the veterans donation, Trump promised to donate earnings from a wide variety of his moneymaking enterprises: “The Apprentice.” Trump Vodka. Trump University. A book. Another book. If he had honored all those pledges, Trump’s gifts to charity would have topped $8.5 million.
But in the 15 years prior to the veterans’ gift, public records show that Trump donated about $2.8 million through a foundation set up to give his money away — less than a third of the pledged amount — and nothing since 2009. Records show Trump has given nothing to his foundation since 2008. “(Washington Post)
By the way the Post has found over 70% of Trumps claims to be false!

There does not have to be malicious intent all they have to show is gross negligence, which they did! Should have gone to a grand jury to decide if an indictment was called for. Not in the hands of career politicians like Lynch. The People should decide!

    5. The Washington Post is so biased against Trump that I believe nothing that their hacks write.
Jeff Bezos, owner of Amazon and the Washington Post declared war on GOP front runner Donald J. Trump, assigning an ‘army’ of twenty (20) reporters with strict marching orders to dig up whatever dirt they can find on Trump to destroy him.

The Trump and Bezos feud goes way back to 1993, prior to Jeff Bezos marrying MacKenzie Bezos

    6. Blackdog - I read an article that said that Jeff and MacKenzie Bezos won't allow any orders placed by the Trump family through Amazon to have the boxes taped properly and that they delay the orders so that Ivanka and her step-mother have to wait extra long for deliveries. This all goes back to 1968 when Jeff Bezos was at a slumber party and he dreamed up this entire scheme as part of his quest to rule the world.

In other words - you are a conspiracy nut who believes only what you want to believe. Like many conspiracy buffs you are unencumbered by the thinking process.
