A very quiet Fourth marred by rain at the time of the fireworks. Hillary testified before the FBI and Donald in attacking Hillary as a crook restrained himself to tweets and then spent time explaining blaming others.
“(CNN) Donald Trump set off his latest firestorm this weekend when he tweeted a graphic critical of Hillary Clinton that featured a six-pointed star, a pile of cash and the words "most corrupt candidate ever."
Critics erupted with complaints that the graphic evoked anti-Semitic imagery and the Trump campaign refused to answer questions about the tweet even as reports emerged that the image had been posted to an anti-Semitic, white supremacist message board 10 days earlier.
Trump downplayed the controversy Monday by slamming the "dishonest media." He said that the six pointed star was one used in sheriff’s badges

More than 160 people are now known to have died in Sunday's appalling attack in Baghdad. It is just one of eight different attacks believed to have been carried out by the so-called Islamic State (IS) over the last month - the Muslim month of Ramadan. In total, more than 300 people have died in such atrocities from Orlando to Dhaka to Istanbul.
The last attacks were a series of suicide bombings in three cities of Saudi Arabia including Medina the most holy Muslim city.
In the UK the Conservative party is beginning a process to select a new leader with a series of voting by the members of the House of Commons to reduce the list from 5 to 2. The lowest candidate each ballot will be dropped and the final two will be voted on by the entire party membership.
At this point it seems that he choice will be between two women; Theresa May the present Home Secretary who was Luke warm in her opposition to BREXIT and the Energy Minister Andrea Leadsom who was a strong advocate and has won Boris Johnson's backing.
Once again a women will lead a European country. It could happen here although I would have preferred a better choice.
