TIME OUT.

Today is April 1 or commonly known as April Fools' Day. We have had enough surprises this week so that we do not need any trickery today or for the rest of the week until the Council.. The exception will be when VCU beats Butler so that it can smack Connecticut Monday night. Yes once again Plainfield's governance  has show insensitivity to hold a meeting the same night as the NCAA Basketball Championship game. Well the game can be "taped".

Before I return later today to my subject of healthcare and especially indigent care and Plainfield I would like to go on record that the mayors announcement that she was going to temporarily assume the Acting City Administrator  directorship position should have been no surprise. .

She had no choice, Bibi Taylor's resignation seems to have caught the entire administration with their pants down. Otherwise there would have been time to have search for an entry of direct and(oh that dictating program!) an interim administrator until the Council could confirm a new one. We can only hope that the search for  a firm permanent new City Administrator in will result in the appointment of an individual who is not only very capable and untainted by city politics.

Of the other issues perhaps the School Assembly is the most important in the potential of who knew when, what, why, and arranged for the program..Also if the speaker was paid,by whose authority.. An honest statement of facts is all that may be needed. In stead we will get evasion, executive privilege, and defensive counter action from administration and BOE.

Pending some extraordinary news back to health care this afternoon.

  1. Doc, do you really believe this mayor will pick someone who will do a good and unbiased job for us. She is the biggest ripoff this city has seen in years, and I've seen some in my years. I hope someone is praying for us, because we really need it with this moron in charge.

  2. Doc...so logical sometimes and then you throw the curve ball.
Yes, the Mayor had a choice. The Mayor had a choice the moment she ran for office ( 2x ) and won. To run an efficient well managed group of people while always looking out for talent to augment the ranks of her administration in an attempt to move the city forward on a path toward a better run more responsive government for the people.
This is not how she has or does operate. HENCE the surprise she was "caught with"....it's not a surprise. What that was was an event that was quite inevitable.
When you operate the way she runs her administration there are no surprises, just screw ups and flubs that have yet to occur.

  3. AC and Rob, We can only hope. There is a possibility that the State redistricting plan which must be presented Sunday may have a political impact on the Mayor and her "handlers".
