More of Council Agenda Meeting

The third resolution introduced by Councilman Burney intends to recreate a Citizens Advisory Committee for the budget deliberations. This is well intentioned and several administrations ago existed in various configurations. However the resolution needs fine tuning as to the size of the committee and the scope of the committee's charge.

Resolution R323-08 under unfinished business was withdrawn from consideration at this time for legal review. This concerns the tax abatement for "Netherwood Village" and the Connelly properties.

Adrian Mapp questioned the rational of Bond Ordinance #1245, appropriating $1,000,000.00 for engineering reevaluation of the study of the conditions of the city streets done 4 years ago. This will require the issuance of $950,00.00 of bonds and/or notes. This will be on the agenda for first reading next Monday.

  1. Go Adrian! It's not like any of these streets have gotten better. They are all lousy. Stick with the plan and get going!
