December is the month of Holidays; some are religious, others ethnic and there are at least one  and most often several “special days” each day.
Starting Tuesday evening the 16th and ending at sunset on the 24th-Christmas  Eve-is Hanukkah ( or Hanuka) and of course the 25th is Christmas which in the  English tradition is followed by Boxing Day on the 26th.

The 26th also marks the beginning of the African-American ethnic celebration of Kwanzaa which ends on New Year’s Day.

For those that need more to celebrate there are these special days left in this month.
