While I try to find time this weekend to expand on racism, and the right to assembly as well as the right to protest; much has happened in the Trump world.
To begin with he has by Presidential edict initiated sweeping changes in Obamacare. There are editorials in today’s print editions of both the NY Times and the Wall Street Journal that express conflicting opinions about the meaning and effect of this Executive Order. I will post both in a separate blog for those who do not have access to the print or internet editions.
Another Executive Order that I approve will initiate withdrawal of the USA’s affiliation with UNESCO because of its overt anti-Israel bias. The US had once before from the late 80s to about 2003 stopped participating. It has withheld funds (dues) to this body since 2011. U.S. would seek to remain engaged with the organization as non-member.
He did not revoke the Iran treaty but instead refused to certify it for another 90days which will buck it to Congress which has 60 days to decide on new sanctions. Trump said he will negate the US participation in the Treaty if Congress and Iran cannot find a better solution.
