R AMBLES

A lost day;should  be the last of the snow for a while.

Some  oldies:;Cedarbrook Park 1950s and Plainfield scene in the 70s .

In the world of politics, the Senate voted to close the debate  on the  budget bill. According to the Times: "The 67-33 vote easily surpassed the 60-vote threshold to break a filibuster and made way for final passage with a simple, 51-vote majority, likely on Wednesday. Republican support was surprisingly strong after days of uncertainty fueled by political posturing and Tea Party opposition."

The other daily news includes today's shooting; a gunman shot two people in a Reno Hospital before committing suicide. A Harvard student has been arrested for emailing bomb threats to the University which cause  a shutdown and interrupted term examinations.

And, again California is burning. Perhaps we should have the next big one there and half the state may slide into the Pacific.

Countdown time; 5 more days before the first of the "OH HELLERS" arrive then one week of turmoil.

I suppose copying is the best form of flattery, but the other day did you notice in a Ledger article about Christie and the GW bridge lane closure, the reporter after referring to NJ as the "Sopranoo State" then called it the state of "OZ".
