THE TANGLED WEB

Oh! what a tangled web we weave
When first we practise to deceive!

Today's (Friday) Courier carriers an markedly expanded text of the  last two reports by Mark Spivey over that posted on the online edition. It is worth reading.  The public session was "taped" and should  be avaiable on the Plainfield channel.

Meanwhile we must wait for developments. The independent investigators report must be made public in its entirety. It can first be transmitted to the Council in closed session but there should be no editing before its release.

If the 3 individuals who still have to  be questioned by the Independent Counsel refused to voluntarily appear and had to be subpoenaed  engage legal aid, the City can in no way accept responsibility for the costs involved. They had their chance.

  1. I don't know why you would be advocating for "behind closed doors". Do you want them to massage the info and twist it before it come out in public?

We want the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Else this is all a charade.

  2. 10:38 AM; I do not believe that I am advocating the report to be hidden from the public. I do believe that the Council has the right to review it in private with their investigator and plan action before the public meeting. If you note I wrote "there should be no editing before its release."

  3. Why do people move so quicky to anger when reacting to the bloggers? These unpaid public servants have the right to opinions and free speech as much or moreso than people who will only comment when anonymous.

Plainfield taxpayer employ Public Information, Public Relations and graphic design staff at the City, SchoolSystem and Board of Ed. We need to put these people in a common ofice and insist a quoto of press releases, a maintained calendar of events, a directory and a speakers bureau, all things we used to have.
