I felt like the last man standing (I was at the Public Comment Session). Council meeting adjourned at near 11:30PM; too late for us poor Senior Citizens. Therefore my initial commentaries will be delayed until noon.
I had raised a question yesterday about two Resolutions granting Street encroachments; 304-11 Queen City Walk/Run for Life, and 305-11 "Community Appreciation and Youth Day" regarding sponsorship, liability insurance etc. IT turned out that during the discussion on these Resolution that they were City (Recreation) Sponsored events. Late last night after the meeting Councilor Williams sent the following "
"Hi, Doc--since you were at the meeting, this clarification is for any of your readers who have questions. The two events are being co-sponsored by the city via the Recreation Division--that was not made clear until tonight's meeting. "
