Health Care; the City and POP/Restore Muhlenberg are going to appeal the Courts decision to the State's highest Court. Lots of luck. Even if we win where is the financing going to come from? How will the Medical Staff be reassembled.-never this will have to be started from scratch. Support personnel will be easier, there still is lots of talent in Plainfield and neighbors.

Health Care: Medicare Reimbursement- The Senate finally passed a bill to extend the freeze on the 21% cut from April 1 to June 1. This is like the city's budget which is supposed to be in place on July 1 but this year was 8 months late last year 10 months. Of course since the House's action was to May1 there can be no legislative bill for the President to sign until one or the other body amends the date on their bill. Oh Government.

People may complain about New jersey weather but I for one happen to like four seasons. In addition with all the natural disasters we read about daily we on;y have less than 2 magnitude earthquakes, no volcanoes, few tornadoes , no mudslides although with our increasing asphalt landscape that will become a possibility. And we would have less floods if (a) the NIMBYs would permit the desired flood control projects, and the FEds would make the appropriation. How many years has the foreboding Greenbrook project been on the boards?

Oh the picture on the top; this would have been NYC's 4th major airport with all flight pattern the noise over Plainfield and more frequent Passaic River flooding if it had not been for the NIMBYs and the Sierra Club. This is of course part of the Great Swamp.

RIDER: 10:00 AM: BOE election From Alice in Wonderland surtesy of Dotti G.; "curioscer and curioscer" the preelection statements from BOE members. I would suggest reading the comments of C. Estevez and Logan-Leash to Plainield Plaintalker's yesterday's blog on the WLV's forum.

I would remind all support as financial aid can come in the form of printing flyers, it does not have to be in cash. At the LWV forum Mr. Estevez denied any such support the same day I received a blue flyer with his slates pictures paid for by a not local union. Ms Burgwinkle's supplemental answer while not specific referred to "friends". I would hope that anyone who helped would be a friend and not an enemy.
