LANDSCAPES

Friday was a near perfect day. To the best of my knowledge nothing catastrophic happened in Plainfield or New Jersey.

This afternoon between 1 and 3 at the Emerson School the BOA will introduce the two finalist s for the Superintendents post. There choice will determine the fate of the school system for the next few years. Ledt us hope they choose wisely and not emotionally. Unfortunately I have other commitments. "Comme Ci Comme Ca"
Without something controversial to write about I have selected two JAMA landscape covers to post as in keeping with this spring.

Glouster Harbor 1895 by Willard Leroy Metcalf (1858-1925) .

The text below is in JPG format and can be read by clicking on it which will enlarge the picture.

Willimantic Thread Factory 1893 Julien Alden Weir (1852-1919) . The description of this painting follows also can be read by clicking on it.
