This morning Dan Damon indicates surprise that her Majesty the Mayor would be supporting Abdull-Haqq over the line candidate Mapp. After all she has a tract record of being a wild cannon who must be a source of embarrassment to the Chairperson of the City Party.
How could anyone with a modicum of intelligence conceive her doing anything else? Mapp and the three "New Democrats" on the Council have been the only restraint on her "dictatorial" concept of community rule.Do not appoint qualified department heads, they might run their department for the benefit of the city. If you are force to appoint one make life miserable so they quit.Above all; no CFO unless the state forces one and then get back to makeshift as soon as possible.
In this Ozian world there can be no one who can be unaware that there is no love lost between Jerry Green and Abdull-Haqq. In fact the Green sponsored legislation that forced Abdull=Haqq off the BOE had been considered by some as to be directly aimed at that person.
Abdull-Haqq is a remarkable citizen. 90% of the time if he were running in a district in which I vote he would get my vote. This time however is the 10%. He is challenging an knowledgeable legislator who has been able to counter the bluster affirmative comments from the Mayor's supporters. More on this race later,but there can be no other choice in today's political clime than returning Adrian Mapp to his seat.,
The At Large seat race is critical and the line is one that should make political pundits talk about for years. Running on the same ticket with Mapp and obviously supported by Green is Mayor's Robinson-Briggs close freind and pastor; Rev. Tracy Brown.
Browm's political credits include a partial term on the BOE from which she resigned for reason I do not remember and at present as a Comissioner of PMUA. She was for either illnes or out of the country unable to be present to vote on the golden gift and also the appointment of Corporation Counsel Williamson a s Executive Director of PMUA. Hr absence permitted Alternate Sanders to cast the deciding ballot on both cases..
Even if it were not her lack of community elected office experience;I have previously written my objections for pulpit holder's occupying elective office. This is a case of adding oil to the fire.
Annie McWilliam's shoes will be impossible to fill. Roni Taylor can come as close as any potential candidate for the Council could. She has had experience as a BOE member when the BOE was a positive functioning body before personal fractrionization created the dysfunction school system we now have. Taylor must receive the party nomination.

Thanks Doc. I happen to agree with you on this one. The Rev. Brown is as close to being Sharon Robinson-Briggs as you can get with out cloning. Brown has backed Sharon on every shady adventure she has gone on and her inability to successfully fulfill her duties at the BOE or PMUA don't give me any confidence in her. Roni is a hard worker, has positive credits for what she has done on the BOE and owes no one anything. We know who Brown owes favors to. I hope people vote for themselves and not the junk we've had in City Hall these past six years.

ReplyDeleteI am incline to agree with 1:20, none are worthy of my vote. However, being the good citizen that I am, I will be voting. Doc, not sure why anyone would call Brown out for being indebted to the puppet master Jerry Green and not Mapp, but let’s be clear, Mapp is also indebted to the puppet master and we all know that his aspirations are to run and be elected as Mayor in 2013. Can we trust someone with such goals. I think not! In this scenario Haqq is clearly the best choice for 3rd ward Council, he is indebted to no one and will follow his conscious for doing the right thing. Mapp and his elitists attitude will work only to serve a few and not all as should be. I cannot trust a person that will get into bed with someone that purposely got them fired from their job and then aired their financial troubles in public for all to see. Green and Mapp! And why do you think Green gave Mapp theline? Lets be real here.

There is 2 faced and then there is " I think you're stupid. " Mapp and Storch think everyone is stupid. Rebecca at least kept her pride and didn't make herself look like a forked tongued ass by screaming the "UNITY" banter as Mapp and Storch did. Per Brown and her Royal What's Her Name...same thing... WHY WOULD YOU VOTE FOR THE EVIL QUEEN'S PICK?

ReplyDeleteHey Doc thank goodness Haqq is not in your district as it would be unfortunate to have my already outrageous real estate taxes raised. Last year at a Council meeting he said all the taxes in Sleepy Hollow area should be raised to cover the shortfalls on the City budget. Apparently he does not know that the assessed values are double and triple other areas, and therefore the taxes are double and tripled. So that's Haqq answers to financial problems - raises taxes, again.
