An almost centurian's vehicle to expound at nonspecific intervals on his opinions regarding politics-local to international, health care, life, society, and perhaps religion plus periodic vignettes about Plainfield N.J. In addition to "blowing off",I enjoyed my second career as an amateur public advocate.
As of 4.28 there was a prominent notice of the forum on the city's web site, but the wording is shocking:
ReplyDelete'The CAG was created from the efforts of the Mayor and other local officials to ensure that a mechanism is in place to monitor Solaris’ compliance with the conditions set forth in the Commissioner of Health’s July 29, 2008 conditional approval of the Certificate of Need to close the Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center."
So one full year after the commissioner's approval to close Muhlenberg the "Mayor and other local officials" are just getting around to formalizing a committee to "monitor Solaris' compliance"?
Not to explore reopening, not to seek new ways to improve care for the residents, but to "monitor compliance".
That's just a terrible way to run a city.
So why are we even debating about having the mayor in office for another 4 years. We have an option people - let's use it!!!
