AGENDA PREVIEW

The good news first. NEW on the City Site under Information/Downloads is the complete City Charter, and a listing of all Resolutions and Ordinances passed in 2009.2010, and 2011. This is not an Agenda item.

Also attached to the meeting agenda's is a link to the approved minutes of that meeting. Since this is only applicable at present to 2011 there is only one set of minutes; for the organizational meeting.

This is a great start for 2011, and the individual responsible deserves our appreciation in making our government more citizen friendly. If only the agenda for Monday night's Agenda Setting Session also contained a resolution changing the meeting schedule to semi-monthly instead of the present monthly marathons.

A quick scan of the Agenda list of resolutions for discussion shows one of interest; Authorizing a professional service contract for $7,600.00 for architectural and engineering services to the Police Division to design and construct a command facility for the CCTV and upgrade of the 911 calling center.

The majority of time should be taken up with the four sub-committee reports, a discussion of "various concerns" PMUA, appointments to CBAC, emergency appropriations and the "Ambulance Foundation".

Weather and other factors permitting Saturday I will review the documents at the library. Otherwise, Monday in time to make comments early afternoon.

As a matter of morbid interest, Mark is posting Plainfield Police Blotter items on his blog. If it did not take my computer so long to load that blog it would be a greater pleasure to read and know what stories will appear in the paper.
