2 for the price of 1

In the late 60s our old pet passed away and we thought that we would replace her with a Schnauzer. There was one in the neighborhood that reminded me of "a dirty old man", but he was cute.

So with my wife and two older daughters (a mistake), one had just finished her first year in college, and the other was going to American that fall, we drove to a recommended kennel.

Unfortunately the Schnauzer was a drip, not interested in anything. The kennel owners brought out a Wired Hair Fox Terrier and a Miniature Pincher. The Min-Pin made a play for one daughter, the Wired Hair for the other. The results we went home with two dogs not one.The girls had promised that they would take care of them, of course they would both be in college in a months time. The good news was that the two of them together came at the same price as the Schnauzer.

One was named Bambi, the other Sparky. I am sure there is no question which is which..

"What does that fool dog think he is doing?"
