February 2, 2018; six days before the Winter Olympics, the
day Trump will release the controversial favorable Nunes Memo, and of course it
is Groundhog Day
Washington does not
have a monopoly on conflicting contradictory reports. For example Punxsutawney
Phil the granddaddy of ground hog predictors saw his shadow and indicated that
we will have six more weeks of winter; historically a most likely happening.
On the other hand perhaps because it was cloudy here, both in
New Jersey’s Milltown Mel and Staten Island Chuck predicted an early spring.
In DC despite the FBI’s attempts to have THE MEMO withheld because
of inaccuracies and selectivity of reports used to prove FBI bias; the
Republicans and Trump hope that it not the “Putingate” probe will become the
focus of public interest.
