Your second blog post link mentions the parking issue at the new senior center. In 2006 seniors were transported to City Hall to cause a ruckus over the parking. Two spaces were required for each two-bedroom unit at the time, but the developer said 1.5 would suffice. Jerry Green led the charge that night.
ReplyDeleteThat pressure to reduce parking began an arc that now sees us being told that seniors only need 0.7 spaces for each one-bedroom unit at Elmwood Gardens. Next I suppose seniors will be expected to levitate from place to place without the benefit of cars.
