FOLLOW UP ADDENDUM

My subscription to the Courier for at least this month was worth it if everyone at yesterday's swearing in is quoted correctly, especially the following which does cast incertitude over my Jan. 1 blog.

Councilwoman Blog is  alluded to have urged residents to support Mapp. Further more she is quoted "If we support him and if he does well, the city does well." If he is blessed  the city is blessed".

Truer words have never been uttered. It remains to be seen; since in view of some of the actions of the 2013 Council that  the makeup of the 2014 Council would suggest more of the same.

Since Mayor Mapp will present his Department Directors and City Administrators names for Council approval at the Jan. 6 reorganization meeting many questions may be answered; others could be raised. Those that we know have a track reorder in the city and their merits can be prejudged.

Also, it is Plainfield's political history that does cast credence to the original blog.

Meanwhile, let us hope that we will once again be lucky and the  brunt of tonight's storm will be north of us.
