POLITICS ON WEDNESDAY

As predicted Congress again solved the fiscal crisis by raising the debt ceiling and getting ready for another circus in 3 months.

Will Booker  bring some common sense to DC. We can hope but he too is a politician..
About 6200 citizens cast their vote this election in Plainfield and the Republicans received  about 6% of the vote. (5812D:382R). Statewide as expected there was  still a significant margin of about 11% with Booker receiving 55%..

In 3 weeks it will be the General election. The Mayors office is up and Mapp should win but the two Independent candidates may make a significant input in the 1st and 4th wards. The split in the Democrat party should not help a very capable Republican, Spector get elected.

Jerry may be facing strong opposition  from young Campbell in the district but I believe that his seat is safe.

John Sr. makes great cliche campaign speeches, watch the end  of the TV tape  of the council meeting.
