LATE IS BETTER THAN NONE?

No it was not a "Wing" or PT problem  nor the Giant's football game that prevented my writing a post for today. Nor was it for a lack of news about the AHCA or the Federal overdraft. 

Instead the problem was a two fold computer related problems both still unsolved. One has to do with accessing an external drive that the computer recognizes and which I have had no problem with previously.

The other has to do with Microsoft's making its programs better. In the latest addition of Windows 7.+, Windows Explorer opens up to a page called libraries. In it there are folders labeled "documents", pictures etc. There is a drop menu that includes Desktop, Downloads and "Computer"   in which all drives are listed including my external drive. To click on it to open results in a computer that goes no wheres with windows not responding. To close it with Task manager leads to that great Blue Screen. 

I suspect that I shall have many more hours trying to remedy this problem.

In line with this Trivia; I learned that when the  World Trade Center formerly known as the Freedom Tower is completed with its  $21 million spire it may or may not be the tallest building in the US.

The question is if the Spire can be considered part of the structure or an antenna. As originally designed it was to be a geometric shell with viewing platforms  at various levels. However to save costs it was replaced by the steel structure. 

If the Spire is considered as part of the building it will be   1776ft tall; 4 ft taller than the Willis Tower (aka Sears Tower) with its antennas in Chicago. 

If the Spires are considered  antennas the WTC is only 1368 ft tall; the Willis Tower 1451 ft. The Trump International Hotel and Tower  at 1389 ft. in Chicago is also higher excluding antennas. 

In the late 90s the Council  on Tall Buildings" ruled that the  the spires on top of the  Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur made it  33 ft taller than the Sears Tower's roof.  although the highest usuable floor in the Sears Tower was  100 ft. higher than that in the Petronas Tower.  

A ruling on the WTC from the Council on Tall Buildings is expected any day. Once that is settled we can resume consideration of balancing the Federal budget.
