The local Party has never been reluctant to run a gutter campaign. This year they seem to be outdoing themselves. It may be good politics, which I doubt, but it is an affront to every moral abiding resident.
No one can approve of the recent Damon posting but at least there is a REAL NAME signed to it. The material sent out and posted by the Regular Democrats is trash; distortions and unproven accusations. Rucker should have learned from the Burney's loss that there are people that are turned off by this type of a campaign., To try to deny association with the source doesn't work. It has also become obvious (see my comment in "Abdil-Haqq Comments" Sunday. that the Regular Democrat Party slate is using an organized campaign via ANONYMOUS comments to various blogs as a method to smear the two New Democrat candidate
I have read on another blog that they have attacked through car fliers an individual's private financial status. Since the "victim" is a leader of the opposition to the entrenched party leaders the attempt is to discredit the candidates on line C. There can have been only two sources of that information, the person who delivered the legal document or the County Sheriff's office.
I had not had any intention of promoting any candidate this election, however the tone for this "party nominee selecting election" would suggest that those who wish a change locally and county wise do not cast a vote for the unopposed in Column A and where there is a choice vote Column B and C. It is always possible that a change will not be for the better but it can not get worse.
Tomorrow go to the polls. Vote your conscience and go home assured that you made the right choice. The important thing is that every one who has the right to vote must use it.

Doc thats is not fair. Politics is a very dirty, nasty game and you do not know if someone in the same camp as the people running on column as the new democrats did this just to get a last minute push of their canidate's. If its not signed at this point of the game you do not know who have done it. This is a desperate approach and I don't believe that anyone in column A would do this. You have to look at the big picture if residents start to feel sorry for canidate's they will come and vote for them. This do not pass the smell test at all. Please let's not past judgement yet. I think that both parties are playing dirty at this time anything is possible. After all this is PLAINFIELD. desperate times call for desperate measure's

ReplyDeleteYou forgot about column D in the 2nd Ward, 8th District, Democratic County (city) Committee.
Us poor Column D folks just don't get any respect!
So remind your voters in the 2/8 who are looking to vote for us that when they go into the voting both, they look all the way down to the bottom of the ballot and then a l l t h e w a y to the right, (almost in the next time zone), there will be.
And remember Doc, vote early and vote . . . .
(well you know how it goes).

Truthfully Doc, I honestly believe that all incumbents whether Dem or Rep need to call it quits and give someone else a chance.

Thanks for the advice. I know that I have been so turned off by Jerry Green and Tony Rucker and their outright lies and distortions, I wonder how they sleep at night. I may see them in hell, but I will be in heaven knowing that they are there.

ReplyDeleteIt would be very easy to find the source of the issue regarding Mapp..but, like all other things, it takes political will. It won't happen because Jerry either ok'd that it be done, or sooooooo secretly approves of it he would stonewall any investigation into the matter.
Dan went over the line, but like you said, he put HIS name on what HE said. He is not spineless like Jerry Green and his supporters. Nothing more pathetic to watch a someone who never was attempt to hold onto what he has.
Dear Jerry...go to the elephants grave yard and simply disappear. That would be your best legacy for Plainfield..and take Sharon Robinson-Briggs with you too..the vile venom you 2 secrete is simply unbearable.
