UVA 19-BYU 16- 2hr lightning rain delay after 1st quarter.

Two Oh Hell games 5 players of course; two third place finishes-one by 1point,the other a tale of woe. Leading by 1 point at the 2 card level (next to last hand) as dealer had bad luck.Dealt A & K Clubs; Hearts trump that would mean that there were 8 other cards out. The other four bid no tricks which meant that there were no trumps out. What would you call ?

There would be two possible disasters; (1) a club lead either first or second trick. Self pity; Oh Hell. the initial lead Club 2.

Sometime Labor day the Ohioans will leave ;Granddaughter and spouse, Casey age 12 aka Sheldon, and Sydney age 9 (2020 Olympian gymnast). They have had already two weeks of school. It seems that schools start early so by the time the Ohio  standardized tests take place i April the  kids have been well prepared for the tests. It seems that  state school funding is based on the results. That has decrease because much like here is derive from property taxes which because  of defaults or just non-payment is dropping and there does not seem to be effective recouping missed taxes. It also seems that after the exams until school closing in mid May there is  little classroom instruction just "playtime".

Because of space limitations, Roanoke Daughter and Son-in-law stay at an area hotel for the four days.

Matters of importance; Council meeting Tuesday night. The one resolution of interest is another adjustment to the Budget. I have not had the opportunity to read it.

Wednesday eve is the beginning of Rosh HaShanah he second most holy day(s) in  Judaism.
