The Queen City
Although the final count is not in, it is obvious that not enough 2nd and 3rd Ward voters turned out to counter the party line block that controls the 1st and 4th Wards.
With the nomination of Rev. Brown for the At Large Seat it is certain that this city will have at least one more year of uncontrolled finances under the present administration. The Mayor will have a majority of Yes votes on the Council.
This is Democracy at work and although the results are not always in the ultimate best interests of the people we must accept and live with it. The people have spoken and are happy with the present leadership.
The likelihood of those who voted for Taylor voting for the Republican candidate in November plus a few Independents is unlikely to change the course which this election has determined. It is also too late for a petition for an Independent Candidate to run in the Nov. 6 General election.

ReplyDeleteCongrats to Brown...ehhh not so much Plainfield. Can't wait to see the whining in the blogs from Storch and Mapp about the new evil axis. I feel bad for the headaches Rebecca is going to have...the other two asked for them.

Wait until you hear the people start to scream when they see what they voted for. Brown seems to have limited scruples and I think this will show on votes in the City Council. She had no idea that the library was so popular with the people of Plainfield. I hope she gets out of her insulated church world and sees what is happening with Plainfielders living in the real world. Bend over Plainfield!
