Two brief notes this am as I have an appointment.
1- The PMUA board acted quickly to appoint a permanent Director. I have little info about him but apparently has affiliations with the Jersey City branch of the party.
2-Inside the very anti-Christie Ledger is an article that he has vetoed the bill requiring sprinklers in All new housing including one (and two) family private dwellings. No consideration by the bill sponsors was given to the costs involved. The Governor emphasized that a bill requiring them in all " Town House" construction and other attached units. A requirement for powered smoke detectors and CO in private homes with battery backup would be of more value. Elimination of the unsafe type approved construction in multi-dwelling housing should be done.
