A quick review of Monday night's Council agenda suggests that we shall be home at a reasonable hour if the meeting commences on schedule. Unfortunately too often this past year the Council has been in closed executive session and the open public meeting is not until after eight pm or later.
The proposed agenda consists of four ordinances for second reading and 11 resolutions . No action will be taken on any item at the agenda setting session. The four ordinances have been discussed at this month's business meeting and probably will not take any time Monday night.
As to the 11 resolution I will provide you with a commentary either Saturday evening or Sunday morning.
There are three resolutions THAT may initiate: discussion. The first is one authorizing the area occupied by the outdated W. 2nd St. Housing Development including the surrounding properties of the block for redevelopment and charges the Planning Board to prepare a plan. There has been prior discussion on this matter and this will probably draw nothing but self serving remarks.
There is a resolution execute a professional service contract with H2M Associates to " prepare a state sustainability plan for the City of Plainfield including an "Ecological Park demonstration project". This will take review to understand the exact meaning.
There's also resolution authorize approval of a professional service contract with H2M Associates Inc. to provide engineering services for development of " Community Rating Systems Application for the City.
There are no items for discussion and dependent on the Sub-committee reports it should be a short meeting.
The New City Administrator should be present and since he has been on board only a week I expect that he will be accompanied by the Council's consultant.
