JERRY GREEN on SOLARIS

Thursday afternoon, I was looking for a pleasant non controversial subject for Friday's blog when I read Jerry Green's Page, titled "EMS VEHICLE". I was stuck by the title and the context.
http://jerrygreenspage.blogspot.com/2010/05/ems-vehicle.html (sorry I could not activate the link you can paste it in your URL)

When the rape Plainfield took place I thought that part of the CN conditions were for Solaris to provide an additional ambulance to Plainfield to help relieve the increased burden on the Rescue Squad. It now seems that Solaris was to provide an EMS vehicle to replace "Mercy 6" the hospital's mobile emergency unit. Is that unit still based at the old hospital site or has it been moved?

What ever the vehicle was to be, Solaris in its accustomed good faith has reneged, placing the blame on the city's refusal to accede to Solaris' self serving interpretation of the CN. And no one holds Solaris accountable for engaging in virtual genocide against those served by the assassinated Muhlenberg. There is no question that "many lives are in jeopardy" due to prolonged response time and delays in the overwhelmed emergency facilities at the hospital.

Green makes another point :"In moving forward, we need to begin discussing the future of the Muhlenberg campus so we are no longer caught off guard with anything. " Solaris is going tho continue to financially profit from its absorption of Muhlenberg's assets including trusts that were established to provide health care for the residents of Plainfield.

What had happened was a cold blooded government assistance in the embezzlement of the thriving health and financial assets of community in dire need of quality prompt available care. We must hope that even in these bad economic times the Christie administration can find the will and the means to ameliorate the effects of Corzine's actions.

  1. Easy to sit in your comfy arm chair now and throw rocks at everyone.

Doc, where were you when Solaris and the Board of Directors allowed this rape to go on?

  2. To Anonymous at 11:22PM, -- Maybe he was NOT attending the same meetings the Mayor never went to when they decided to close the hospital. Maybe Doc wasn't attending the meetings in the beginning when it was first mentioned that the hospital might be closing like the Mayor and Jerry Green weren't. Maybe Doc wanted to create a study on what to do about services AFTER the hospital closes before the fight ( BY THE CITIZENS )was done. Maybe Doc joined the action to prevent the hospital from closing days before it actually closed like the Mayor and Jerry Green. Maybe Doc now walks around town with people standing behind him slapping him on the back saying "Way to go, you fight good." after the fight was over and lost like the Mayor and Jerry Green. Maybe that's where Doc was.
    - My question. Where was Jerry? The 3rd most powerful person in the NJ Assembly per his words. Where was the Mayor? The leader of the city of Plainfield. I'll tell you where those 2 and all their GREAT UNION COUNTY and STATE GOVERNMENT BUDDIES were.....not stopping that hospital from closing. Keep the blame squarely where it belongs.....on Jerry, the Mayor and their buddies.

  3. Thank you Rob. I thought that I had rejected 11:22's comments as irrelevant, it was never meant to be posted. There will be no more comments positive or negative posted on this subject.

However for Anonymouse's records and "he" can look it up instead of griping, I DID speak at the first public hearing, also submitted a written statement to the State. I also in my blog and at every Council meeting requested that do nothing Council to act strongly proactive, even to seek an injunction, before the coup de grace.

  4. Doc was a key participant creating a document refuting of Solaris' claims, presented as evidence during the hearings. This 20 page document with facts, figures and references was submitted to the Health Department in rebuttal of Solaris' claims.

This document was also presented to the Attorney General to investigate what we felt were illegal acts, along with other documents.

Doc and several other Plainfield citizens with medical expertise assisted in the writing, history and other critical items used in that document.

This wasn't 'flashy' like doing PoP rallies or protests. It was a well-thought out document that countered all of Solaris' claims with legimate data and referencing NJ law.

Those of us that worked on that document also went around and got support from all the surrounding communities NOT to close Muhlenberg. We also had meetings with Green, council members, other hospitals and a potential buyer. Doc participated, as did people involved with PoP. We all did our best.

The bottom line -- the state did not care that what Solaris was doing was illegal and illogical. Green and the council sat on their hands. End result - citizens of Plainfield who supported and created this hospital had a vital asset stolen from them, while our "representatives" cried they couldn't (or wouldn't) do anything.

    The fix was in.
