A very busy morning and day on the waterfront. Just a short note about the Sick Leave Pay Ordinance besides my comments about my concern that the changes are major especially the number per business affected which makes it a new Ordinance and not eligible for second reading.
According to yesterday's Ledger there is proposed bill in the Senate prohibiting municipalities from passing such Ordinances and stating it should be done by State law. The given reasons are good.
I am not aware of any such enabling bill in either house although there may be in committee.
Also Trenton's Ordinance is on hold since it is being challenged as to legality.
