Monday's Council agenda.arrived last night. There is no change from the items discussed and remarked about from last Monday's agenda session. There are about 8 additional resolutions from Corporation Counsel's office that were briefly mentioned last week plus another 10 feelgoodie consent agenda items approving request from various organizations for street events.
The only fireworks that this agenda may initiated from two Capital Improvement Bond Ordinances; B.O. 1255 for 2nd reading in the amount of $3000000.00 and an new one B.O.1256 of $4,845,000.00 also for Capital Improvement. This one includes about 9 separate projects. The bonds or notes would be issued when and if the project is undertaken. Of the nine; one group had to deal with roads. Last Monday two Councilors (Williams and Storch) suggested that this Ordinance be rewritten int two; one for roads and the other to identify individually the other projects.

I wonder if Sharon thinks the voters can be fooled. She always does something to get voters' attention before an election. The last primary she had 8th Street paved. Now she's redoing the front of City Hall and now this. I know many voters are as dumb as a stump, but come on. I hope most people in Plainfield are tired of her do nothing work to get Plainfield moving and give Mapp a chance. She blew her eight years, let's give someone else a chance.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Williams and Storch that each project should be individually listed and defined--together with the cost of each.
ReplyDeleteAnd a question for Council members: how will each of these (as well as the total amount) impact our property taxes?
